Give… so that others may live

As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, NDSD is funded by member dues and by donations from individuals, foundations and corporations. It takes approximately $10,000 to $15,000 to get a search dog ready to deploy to a disaster scene, and our handlers pay the majority of this expense out of their own pockets. However, donations from our generous contributors allow us to purchase unit safety, training and communications equipment, as well as attend national training seminars, so that we are as prepared as possible when the next call for help comes.
 

And of course, all of NDSD’s response services are provided to requesting agencies at no cost, as a public service to our community.
